    silly question....

    http://www.compperformancegroupstore...Category_Code=

thinking of doing the 3.4/3400 swap.... so i thought might as well buy a new motor... found one for $200(3400 00 Grand Am GT)... so i thought hmmm well before do the swap might as well put a nice cam on it(above) and also thinking of having the exterior stuff polished... so is this kit good(N/A wise)? and for a tune, how much do you guys usually pay for one?

Horsepower is how fast you hit the Minivan... Torque is how far you take the Minivan with you... :wavey:

That's a very mild cam, barely above stock. You can go up to a 260 grind without a tune.

Ahhem, that's a 272. The biggest you can go is a 262. Comp cams has a single pattern and will be a bit more friendly.

Are you thinking you can put the 3400 motor in the car? It's going to take a lot of fabrication to do so. The starter is on the wrong side, one of the motor mounts won't work, oil filter needs to move, and the oil pan won't clear the k-member.

              260, 262, depepnds on mfgr.

The Comp 260h is a 212*/212* duration, .440/.440 lift @ .050". It's a single pattern which makes it easy on your ECM, and you can use 1.6 roller rockers with it.

DeltaCamshafts is where I bought my last 260, and they were able to make it from a re-grind. They charged me $100 with lifters IIRC. Make sure whoever you order your cam from knows you need the timing lobe for SFI (if you have a 4th gen fbody).
