Ok, so.. Installing a rollmaster double roller. It just doesn't seem like the top sprocket is goin on the cam shaft far enough. I have the balancer shaft gears off.. When I put the top sprocket on, even without the chain.. it just stops in the same position every time with nothing there that's obviously blocking it or running into it. There's about a quarter to half an inch of space left on the sprocket that looks like it should slide up to. Is it suppose to sit flush or have that amount of space? I'll take a picture when I go back out. If anyone has any pictures of a timing chain installed without the bolts I'd appreciate it cause I'm just a little worried I'm gonna mess somethin big up.

Re: Double roller install
Ah I forgot to take pictures.. But the crank gear can go on further than the camshaft gear. If I turn the camshaft sprocket around backwards it lines up with the crankshaft gear. Installed correctly though the camshaft sprocket isn't allowing the crankshaft sprocket to sit back as far as it's capable on the crankshaft. Which worries me that it's going to rub the oil pump cover. Is there suppose to be a very small lip on the camshaft that doesn't allow the sprocket to go back any further? Cause I have a very very small one I can barely feel with my finger nail.
This is becomming very frustrating because i was just sizing it up with the timing cover and that doesn't even want to sit flat, it wobbles a little. There is no obvious obstruction either, I'll try setting it on there tomorrow with the chain off just to eliminate possible problems.
I should just buy a new cam for this season too. I'm sure someone will want it when I get the one I originally intended for. I just can't now because stock heads clearance and all that.

Re: Double roller install
When in installed my double roller I had to sand/steel wool the inner ring of the cam sprocket to get it to slid on. crank sprocket went on fine i believe.Check out my cardomain site!
My Car
