3800 to LS1 Conversion

What do I need to know to be able to do it?
-Can I get a LS1 crate from any Pontiac dealer?
-What do you guys think of the LS1, do you guys like any other GM V8 crates better?
-What's the MSRP? About 5 Grand, I presume.
-How much would a dealer charge to do it?
-Does the dealer even do this type of thing?
-Anything else?

I was just curious. I wanna switch my 3800 for a LS series engine one day.

in all seriousness though it is a big uptaking, youd be much better off (cheaper off) just buying a ls1 powered car.
