    how do i get that thing off? does it matter if i brake it? it seems useless

      It's clipped on to the timing cover bolts, you just have to pop it off of those thee bolts and it should come right off. :)

        there's 2-3 spots where it's clipped onto bolts. Just unclip it and off it comes (assuming harmonic balancer is already off)

          I broke the passenger side bracket off on mine - popped it off a little too hard and it snapped. Drilled a couple small holes on each side and we used a couple good quality twist ties to hold it together.

            i would leave it alone. hall effect sensors dont care too much for dirt and debris.
