    Re: Sudden power/increase exhaust volume

Well, looks like a new muffler might be in order. This car is the only thing I can drive ATM, and the muffler is just getting worse. That small crack is now 2x the size; the passenger exit now has a small crack as well, and the whole muffler looks like it's about to fall off. Good ole Cherry Bomb mufflers :(

OK, got it welded up no problem; also figured out why it broke in the first place. The way it was mounted, it basically hung right on the pipes; the passenger's side held up fine because there are 2 pipes supporting it (inlet and pass outlet), but the driver's side only has one; we put another hanger right by the muffler once it was all welded up to try and give it some more support. So, no new set-up for me; I like my current one anyways :P

Probably really was no gain; most likely just in my head, cuz the exhaust was still running through the muffler, it was just not going through the extra 4ft of tailpipe directing it to the rear of the car. I doubt that would make a big difference.
