I bought a 95 manual camaro with a 3.4L in it a while ago and it has been running kinda hot i was wondering if this is normal, it usually runs about 220-240 i thought this was a little warm, i have replaced the relay for the fan, a coolant hose, and the thermastat, i noticed that my reservoir was cracked so until i can go to the junk yard i have a milk jug reservoir lol. What temps are you other guys with 3.4s running normally on a warm day?

That seems like its running hot. Mine would run around 200-210 on a hot day.
That was with a 180 thermostat. It might be time for a new radiator.
How many miles do you have on the motor? Also check at what temp the fan kicks on.

look into the manual fan switch as well, my firebird will overheat on a hot day within minutes if i'm not constantly moving. so i installed a fan switch to kick on the rad fans whenever i want, keeps it at around 190 degrees.

My fan kicks on at about 240, I checked that when i put in the new relay. I just told the guy at the auto parts store I needed a thermostat for a 95 3.4L camaro, do u think a new one would fix that? It heats up on the highway too which I thought was kinda odd seeing as theres air moving over it.

hmmm check to see if your air deflector is still there... sometimes they fall off and whatnot.

that long black plastic thing that sticks down below the radiator. look under your car, cant miss it. they push air up into your radiator

first of all you are sure you have no black fin under you car? it is attached to the rear bottom of the front bumper and is located underneat the radiator.

if you don't have one, you need to get one!

it cools down your car while driving.
