Re: Fuel options...
back on topic:
This is really starting to piss me off. I have everything on my floor right now for the install and the cash to have it done professionally. But do I;
option 1. run a adj fuel pres regulator and bump up the pressure a little on stock 17lb injectors
option 2. run a adj fuel pres regulator and lower the pressure a little, but on 19lb injectors out of a 3.8l camaro
I can either do the install this week with everything stock and hope for the best with just an AFPR or have to wait to get some 3.8l injectors then do the install. THIS IS FRUSTRATING ME. We know we need some more fuel, but how much...bigger injector, smaller injector, higher pressure, lower pressure.
I think i like the idea of having more of a pressure range to mess with on the 19lb and the afpr as apposed to the idea of simply raising the pressure on stock 17lbs injectors. I mean 40-45psi to start and then i can only go up to 60psi (which i don’t think would be a good idea) But running 35-40psi on 19# injectors and maybe moving it up a tad if ness sounds better in my head right now...i dont know though i think im going crazy1994 3.4L DSG Camaro

honestly i think both options are doable.
imo it comes down to whether or not you drive your car in cold weather or not. if you drive it in the cold, don't get 19lb injectors.

Re: Fuel options...
either way will work...its just a matter of how much more do you want to do. you have CAI and full exhaust, if you get new injectors you have more room for improvement. if you don't you'll just need to crank that fuel pressure up and be comfortable that you are at the upper edge of your fuel systems capacity.

Re: Fuel options...
Thanks for the input nightrider. I spoke with Josh today via pm's on NJfboa. Hed rather see me go with the stock injectors and the higher pressure due in fact to the loss of correct spray pattern when lowering the pressure on 19#'s. I have no plans now or in the future to supercharge or even throwin some nitrous on the car so even though yes I will be at the peak of my fuel delivery options sticking with the stock injectors thats really all this engine will see.
If i want to go really fast im gona have to pick up a v8 - hopefully very soon
so the car is getting dropped of tomorrow and i should have it back end of day tues or weds. Pics and vids soon to follow.1994 3.4L DSG Camaro

oh and usp, you'd have to modify those heated o2 sensors for them to work correctly, something i dont really feel like doing.
just get an afpr and call it a day. get that holley one you were looking at, that is a good one.
I put the holley fpr on today and the car is getting dropped of tomorrow to get cam'd. Ill have pics and vids/soundclips up some time soon after i get it back tuesday or weds1994 3.4L DSG Camaro

still would like to see you install yourself.
imo, thats half the reason to do the mods. ;)

Re: Fuel options...
sure would save a ton of cash and would have been great to learn how to do it myself, but i need the car for work and there was prob no way i could do it in the short amount of time or with the quality of work from the shop its at now.
600 buck would be nice to do some more mods, but to be honest im not even sure what mod to do next. I think im gona start saving for a trans rebuild/shift kit and a nice stall converter (vigilante stall - about 800 alone right there and atleast another 800 for the rebuild, oh and then a trans cooler too). Mine has about 150k on it and I dont want to have to worry about it anymore. Plus id like to take it to the track one day and see what it will do (Maybe low 15's) without have to worry if im gona blow up my trans.1994 3.4L DSG Camaro
