shift kit, yes...stall converter...all converters stall, it's just a matter of where...but...haha good luck with the price they carry.[/
a gt2 cam is like 300 and after everything you would probaly be arround 600 with all the parts and labor. i am sure you could get a stall converter for 600 and the shop would install it while they had the trans out for nothing.
but i do not recommend a stall converter unless you know exactly where you are going with modding this car.

no way in hell would you find a shop that would install a stall for free even with the trans out unless you know the people. everything costs something
i live in the hospitality state everybody would do something like that. if thye had the trans out anyway, hell i would just walk into the shop area and do it. just say hey i wanted to do somehting while you got the trans out and go slide it in.

install a larger stall converter. Hell just a better converter will be more efficent helping to transfer the power to the ground. Best first mod. And you the converter will come out for the rear main so tell them you will give them 50$ plus cost of a trans flush to put it in. They may go for it. probably no warranty on the labor though.
you want a good, new stall converter? you're looking at $800.
And th $300 for the cam...hm, let's remember thats JUST the camshaft. and fyi, shops charge 6 hrs labor for cams in our cars.
so 300+ (6*60)= 660, without gaskets, or any other parts hes gonna have to replace while hes in there, which could rack up quite quick with 150k miles.
CAM is 300 install gasket kit is 100 + labor= 600-700. these are just estimated figures. shops may charge 6 hours but i am sure you can find somebody that fools with cars that will do it for 200-300. the stall convertor is 489.99 from abbot racing.
