    Re: installing my rockers

I hope your not trying to use the stock bolts again because they are TTY, but I think I installed my Comp reusable bolts at 26-28ftlbs. Somewhere around there.

          Re: installing my rockers

oh heck no i have new bolts. the old ones are already in the trash. TTY = torque to yield. stock gm rocker arm bolts in the 3.8's are TTY meaning they can only be used once. you can buy new TTY bolts but most people just get some reusable bolts. so second part of my question loctite on my reusable bolts???

            Re: installing my rockers

i will post up how they do tomorrow when i finish up. these are Harland Sharp rockers that i bought off of Kal-El a while back so you probably wont find another set. this is pretty much a budget mod for me i scored the rockers for $160ish, ls6 valve springs for $57 on ebay, retainers and locks from zzp $64 for a grand total of $281 all shipped to my door. not to bad huh?

              Re: installing my rockers

damn good deal. I just got some in from 3800performance, im waiting on my heads to arrive to put my engine back together. all of mine total from 3800 was like $406 with a $60 core return on my used rockers, so all in all like $340.

              thanks for the define too.

no you dont need lock tite on reusable bolts. you torque them to 21 ft lbs i think. but dont quote me on that.

I made 206 rwhp and 225 torque when i had my 1.9 rockers.
