I'm just about done getting the engine ready to come out through the bottom. The guide posted earlier says to take off the y-pipe. Do I really have to do that? I don't see how it's holding anything back. Also, should I drain my oil and atf or leave it in?

your y pipe is in the way of the tranny comming down.... i would drain the oil, and if you arent doing anything with the tranny i would just plug the two lines that come out of your radiator.

Well the exhaust is cut off right after the cat, so shouldn't the y-pipe be free to move with the engine and transmission? The bolts look rusty, not looking forward to taking it off haha.

drain your tranny. once you lift it, the fluid will run out the back where the driveshaft attaches... I had one hell of a mess to clean up because someone told me I didnt need to drain the tranny...

oh yeah, where's the AIR pump? The guide posted earlier says to disconnect the wire connector going to the AIR pump through the access panel under the driver's side. Is it in the same spot for the 3800? I disconnected something in that general area, not sure what it was though haha.
