Some of you may have seen my thread the other week about repairing the engine in my Firebird. Well after looking at it a little closer and seeing what needs to be fixed I figured I might as well replace it. Knowing how my brother used to drive the car also helped my make the decision to tear the old crap out and put a nice clean engine in. Well here's a little before and after (still not quite "after" but it's physically in so what the hell):
The car is a 98 Firebird with around 110k HARD miles, seen here:
I didn't take the hood off for the sake of the engine swap, it was blown open on the highway and dented pretty bad (seriously).
Here's the engine bay after my brother killed it:
And here it is with the new engine:
Like I said earlier, it's still not completely installed. I still have to plug in some wire connectors, hoses, and all of the other little stuff.
