twin turbo 3.4l v6 build

i am doing a twin turbo build for my 3.4l v6 camaro. i need help i don't know where to start. i have read a lot of posts on this website about different stuff. what i want to get turbos that will build boost fast? i don't care what it would take. i want to do this and its going to be done. i know its going to take a lot of time and money. Im going to completely rebuild my motor to handle boost what parts do i need? Thanks

i need help i don't know where to start.

start with the engine.

turboing is not something easy, you cant just bolt the turbo on and go. the only experience i have is with my volkswagen, and its a 63 model, no computer or anything.

should probably post in the FI section..and read through those stickies..

first thing you should determine is the end goal of the car...what exactly it is you want to do...how much boost you want to run etc...then you can determine what parts need to be built, changed, or forged or all of the above...

Is this a DD or is it a track car...I think you need to read a lot of stickies and do a lot of research on your own and learn how everything works, and how each part impacts the performance of the other...this way you have an understanding of how everything works...then from there you will be able to build your best setup...


btw good luck trying to tune with that engine....there is not really any options available

I hope you got quite a few thousand to dump into this project...all I can say is do a TON of research, and dont take short cuts...if you cant afford to do it, wait.... and, sometimes you will need to install parts in an order that you may not want to install them...but may work out best...lots of headaches and bloody knuckles ahead...gl

I dont see what age has to do with what he wants to do, if you have the cash and the will it can be done man just tread lightly and triple check everything before you proceed.

The only substitute for cubic inches is cubic money.

i'm in the same boat and i cant even afford an oil change! i just want my car to run! if i wanted to make a boosted 3.4, I would start with the top end swap, ware you take the aluminum top end from a FWD gm v6 and put it on your camaro. Then boost it from there after i figure out tuning and what not.

some people at that age tend to have vivid fantasies,i repeat,some people. i have a friend,same age as me,28,and he has about 4 chevy nova in his yard for 10 years long and still telling me he will make them,listen carefully,twin turbo and a supercharger on top,wow!!!!those car about 70% rusted,very sad,,,then about 2 years ago he bought a pace car,yes,a pace car(not sure its real,but i can take a pic and you guys let me know if its real),,he told me hes gonna make that car real fast,,im still waiting........................................so, what im saying is,I HOPE THIS DUDE IS NOT IN A FANTASY LAND(LALALAND),,NO OFFENSE,,,,,BUT IF YOU MAKE YOUR DREAM COME TRUE,,I WILL RESPECT YOU FOR THE REST MY LIFE!!!

whether it will happen or not...the guy asked for info...provide him with info..dont down what he wants to do, whether it is a fantasy or not...not our place to say it...if its not something that is realistic, he will figure that out in doing his research regarding his project...not from someone who knows nothing about him telling him what they think he can and cannot do...
