Also what stroker kit are you using? Where did you get it from?
under his profile it says his engine is bored to 4.2. i was unaware an overbore could get a stock 3.8 displacement to 4.2 without a stroker kit. also on his fquick the claimed hp is 240???? not the dynoed 260 so yeah not really adding up.:bs:
This is why I was asking questions to confirm some of this stuff like what kind of tuning for the 96 PCM, and what cam specs are, and tranny and what rpm TQ converter.
08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
96' Camaro M5 to A4 conversion, alot of mods . GT35R Turbo full suspension. Built engine
Its bored 60 over, highperformance pistons and heads. lunati street cam. custom cold air intake. light weight power steering pump-waterpump. ac TOTAL delete. i have a 60 inch belt vs the 90 something incher. I have the tranny built to handle 750 horsepower.
which is it?
stop giving fake advise, people including myself depend on this to get pretty acurate info..

i think a bore, headers, coldair, exhaust are THE cheapest POWER you can have.
btw 94 rs for life or whatever your thing is.
may i ask why your questioning my knowledge?
this account is shared BY TWO people.
from now on.
ill post at the bottom of my postings.
saying chris
luke is the other person who shares this account.
he is the one asking the :newbie: questions.
as for you.
please just stop posting things "questioning" my knowledge about this stuff.
im questioning your knowledge...i have no life when i get off work, so i come here and read everything. ill admit it, im a lame ***. i have read all of your fake posts.
if you know so much and all this then why would you even post about a bore...we are talking about a stroked engine. there is a different. can you tell me?

because a stroker and a larger bore is pretty much the samething........yeah........
no they arent. not the same at all. a stroker refers to making the stroke of the piston longer by lengthening the throw of the crank...boring an engine refers to making the pistons bigger. both add displacement, but offer different effects power wise. read a book dude.

ok ive looked through this forum over and over and flaming chicken is in every thread sum were and posts sum very credible information i havent been here long but if he contests sumthing, sum things up. and as for everyone else try to be clearer with ur posts cause they can be confuzing not everyone has ur mind set or is looking at ur car.
but back to this thread im looking to stroke my car cause i want to rebuild it anyway does any one have a idea what kind of gains i can expect from it. also whats the torque to tires for a stock 3.8 camaro (roughly)
werd dawg!!
honestly, with the COME kit that someone posted earlier, it looks to be as cheap or cheaper to go forced induction, and you would more than likely see equal or greater gains. then you take into account how many people have gone FI and it seems to be the easier route too, and more people to be able to help if you had questions.
Im in for around 700 right now in parts and labor to rebuild my 3.8 with all my parts.
