the loan is to pay for school first what ever is left goes for.....well whatever.... im not taking a loan out to start a project....its extra cash left over only after my school and books are payed for the semester. ill have like 3000.00 or so left over and half will go into savings and the other half will go into headers,y pipe,cat back, cam and springs...ect...ect... little buy little ill get the supporting mods done and when i go back to work ill use that money to build the engine.
im not ****ing stupid when it comes to money. i know how to budget and save. what ****ed us up was the 12-14 credit card my wife had when we met. and paying 850.00 a month in car payments....but for 2 years before and after we bought the cars i was working 60-70 hours a week making 16.00 an hour cash.....then the housing market went to **** here in KY. thats why im where im at.....i made big money for 5 years strait and then dropped down to working 20-30 hours a week. after a year of slow work all of our savings went dry.....not much i could do about it.
I know that SWAN Racing has a very good reputation and a good stroker kit for our 3.8 (to 4.2). People from Australia who got this done to there Commodore have been pleased.
Nachius, our member here sold his kit to someone from this board. I wonder what the feedback is from this person.

yeah thats where i was looking to get it from.....i just cant figure if i want to try for a N/A stroker or go all out with a turbo stroker but i would have to do one first then the other later....im still in the planning phase...lol i dont get the car intill tomorrow!! but i already got the spare engine on tuesday.
im talking just the work to the block. but the parts was only 1000.00??? what does that include??? 3800stroked wants 2600-3200 for the parts. where did you get yours at??
Its bored 60 over, highperformance pistons and heads. lunati street cam. custom cold air intake. light weight power steering pump-waterpump. ac TOTAL delete. i have a 60 inch belt vs the 90 something incher. I have the tranny built to handle 750 horsepower.
i have about 300 pounds in weight reduction.
ps. the 4l60e is actually built to mimic the heavy duty truck series.
the camaros 4l60e were NEVER strong enough to begin with.
so even with a regular build up they still went out in some cases.
taking parts from a very very low mileage 2500 gas pickup and along with putting corvette survs.
the power from the engine is almost DIRECTLY put to the wheels.
there is really no power loss.
by the way i think im gonna go ahead and put like 342s in
btw i meant.
that 1st ENDS at 40 (this is flooring it)
2nd ends at 80 (flooring it)
3rd ENDS at 105 (flooring it)
4th STARTS at 105 and goes to however long. (idk) i havent gone that fast (140+)

You posted it was bored 60 over before, what are you using for tuning with the extra mods? Esp. for the cam, what are your cam specs? Also different gears will make the tranny not shift right if the PCM isn't programed for the right gears. Also tunning for A/F and timing for the cam.
