Hey everyone, Got a coolant leak looks like all over the front of my engine. 97 3.8L. Runs/drives fine and no coolant in oil. I know the coolant passages in the lower intake are in the middle (not towards the front) of the heads. Has anyone ran into the UPPER intake manifold leaking?? Possibly the top of the front cover??
Any pics of intake manifolds removed from the vehicle?
Long story short.....can't see where leak is coming from and need to know how long this fix will take.
I just broke that particular plastic elbow today, lol. Oh well time to buy some new ones. I guess i was pressing my luck haven gotten them both out two times already. :o
Just replaced that elbow today. It had broke off where it goes back into the engine. I had to take off the alternator and the hose bracket that the heater core hoses hook to. The elbow was about four dollars from autozone.
