    Re: 5.3 swap

Your 4L60E being a 96 should be a 4 bolt tail housing while the LS 4L60E should have a 6 bolt tail housing. You will need the Acc drives from a LS1 F body including the damper. Each acc drive for the LS base motors use there own damper F body, Y body and truck are all different.

Ok well since I've been on I've bought a 6.0 and put on the 5.3 heads with p/p work. I've come up with another question. I read somewhere that only a certain year of pcm/engine harness will work with the v6 body harness(cant believe everything you read but it's important if it is true) Im ready to buy em and want to be double sure.

          Thank's

I would email Speartech , he can make you any wiring harness you want for your car, I don't know about using different harnesses, but he made my a adapter harness to add on to my car so I could use a A4 tranny instead of my M5 tranny. Outstanding work easy to add and great labled directions where to wire up everything.

I'd prefer a factory setup if possible.

                Re: 5.3 swap

Ok well doing the swap in another week or so just getting down to the little detail's, got a wiring harness and pcm tune from http://www.sspwiring.com/PCM_s___Control_Modules.html (I recommend this guy) got all the drive acc and oil pan and so on, just a few more question's.

                1. Can I modify my v6 radiator to work? I only see one line that's not there on the v6 that is on the ls
                2. Can I use my throttle cable's and just lengthen them since the TB is on the right?
                3. Any mod's I have to do to get a ls1 gauge cluster to work since it's a electronic odometer?.

And ofcourse I'll post pics up when I get going on it.
