you shouldnt have to change the length of your pushrods, wouldnt that defeat the purpose of bigger lobes on the cam?

they are 1.6 roller rockers....but i called abbott and they said 7.00 is what they run.....if the pushrod is to long the preload on the lfter is to much and its pumping up to much causing the valves to hang.......he also said you should be able to run the rocker bolt in hand tight and you should only have to put between 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn to tighten the bolt to set preload......i just checked mine and its like a 1 1/2 turns....he told me 1 turn is to much.....cause by the time the bolt is tight you can see the rocker start to push the valve down.......i think im gonna have to get some 7.00 pushrods

really huh......i just knocked the valve cover off and shimed my rockers up .050" and now the bolt after i run it down by hand only taked a little over 1/2 turn to tighten the bolt...before i shimed it i was turning the bolt like 1 1/2 turns to tighten the bolt

I bought aftermarket ones to be safe (I actually thought I bent my stockers while tuning before I put cam in) but I bought stock length...

just roll them on a flat surface..that'll tell you pretty plainly if they were/are bent

the stock lifters let for some play, so 7.05 would of worked just fine.
                    7.00 pushrods arent 100% needed

7.05 pushrods, might as well beef them up ZZP's Comp 5/16 ,Comp .105 or ZZP 3/8ths. If you haven't got the cam yet you might look into ZZP GT2 cam it has put down some great #'s. Ask Radracer about his with stock valvetrain.

I know...I just didnt want to have to go in twice...plus I plan on doing head next year and bumping up the compression to almost 11:1 if I can...so I just opted to buy some beefier ones...

not sure what this has to do with pushrod length, but w/e

This has nothing to do with pushrod lenght just vids of a pontiac at the dyno. Oh wait I think their stock pushrods by the sound of it.
