Re: Abbott Cam...I have a question

Well, what other video do you want? That's one of the best sounding and most powerful examples of an ABHNA cammed car.

Anyways, I ran both the stock pushrods and a set of hardened 7.00 comp pushrods in my ARHNA cammed car, and didn't notice a difference in either. However, if Abbott recommends running 7.00 pushrods, I'd probably listen to him.

As for the preload, as long as your sticking with the stock lifters, just torque the rocker bolts down to spec and call it a day. Make sure you torque them down when the valves are fully closed, otherwise you'll screw up your spec by compressing the valve spring.

I don't know about best sounding , but the dyno #'s would be questionable since others with similar or more mods dynoed with lower #'s, dyno's are for tuning mostly you can make the #'s go up just by using correction factors. I like what radracer put down with his ZZP GT2 cam on a mustang dyno pretty impressive , he should run some great #'s. I wouldn't run anything from Abbott, all the breaking parts and non-engine building abilities blowing up known 3 engines an who knows how many others. An the best part screwing the customer by not backing their motor build. Thats a nice company. I still don't see why there is a dyno vid , when this is a pushrod lenght question. The car is gone now anyways so who cares.

Wrong on just about every account. The only other car that comes close to mimicking my build, hardware-wise is this one

However, he had a corvette guy tune his car. I had 2 FTV6 tech moderators tuning mine. All the other cam-only cars that have been on the dyno did not ARHNA cams. Furthermore, all cars that have more mods, make more power. There isn't a V6er that has power adders or is H/C that's weaker than my V6.
But w/e. I have a dynosheet that proves my claim, you have a handful of weak cars and your flapping jaw back yours. If you have issues, take your sob story to Dynotuned Performance Inc

I know one that's ran 80k miles, with no failure of their hardware.

Wrong again...although, as demonstrated in this thread and just about any other one you post in, that doesn't come as a surprise. I know it would relieve your achy heart if the car just wandered off into the wilderness, but that's just not the case. I still do regular maintenance on it, and can drive it where ever I want, with just a phone call.
