you could, but as stated below, larger valves in the heads etc. Kinda like getting our heads p+p (about the same performance gains)

Re: Swap Thread: Series II to Seriies III

                        ok few questions:

I took the bolt of the ac line that connects to the condenser on the passenger side, yet it wont budge. Any suggestions?

Bolt on the fuse box, I cannot get the nut to bulge... Any suggestions?

Ont he trans selector shift cable, what do I pry off? I removed the bracket from the trans pan, but I have no idea how to get it loose...

well i'm gonna go work on it again today. i'm only gonna post differences in the motor, not the full swap, seeing as it's been pretty much straight forward from another swap page. i guess i can post some differences but they are very very minimal

^I'm doing the same swap as you (kinda) Haven't pulled the oil pan yet, but I did notice the valves are different between the S2 and S3 heads. Minimally bigger, but still better than the old style. It looks like the heads are still the same, though. Still have rough casting and bumps inside the intake and exaust ports that should be polished out. You going to P&P the heads and gasket match the intakes while you're in there?

Not this time, I have a vs cam and ls6 spring new retainers etc. I'm going to put this motor in and run it for a few months then this winter I will tear it apart and reuild it. I have to finish the turbo for it also

Did you go with a remote oil set up, I found a T&D dual remote oil filter setup that looks pretty good. Got it on ebay , I haven't looked yet but I might put it in front of the air damm so the filters get some cooler air. Also might look into getting a series III and building another engine up, will give me something to do after my build. Still waiting for pics.lol
