kk, so i put a new oil pump kit in my timing cover, and now i cant get it to line up with the crank properly, i hav been trying since yesterday afternoon...it looks like there is a mark on the crank gear and one on the pump gear, those supposed to line up?

    and help is cool.

ok, let me explain this better. the oil pump gears are not lining up with the gear on the crank...what does a timing light have to do with anything...

don't you have to do something with the timing chain when chainging out the oil pump?

no, the timing gears stay put, the chain doesnt have to come off. its just the oil pump is in the timing cover.

well, i guess it was one of those trial and error things. i put it on and took it off at least 30 times, its on there now... now i have to do rockers and intake, wire stuff up and start her up again...
