    ^ya, i read that they had originally planned to stop using the 3.8l in 99 but kept it b/c of "popular demand"

      There is a guy on the Fiero Forums who put the 3.4L DOHC in his Fiero, turbo'd it, and is now pushing over 350HP at the wheels.
