im not sure where this big bolt goes to, water pump or front cover

i cant tell from the pic, but the water pump bolts should have a spot where the bolt is big at the head, then gets smaller, like its bigger than the bolt about a cm from the top head of the bolt...get me?Team NoVa

That looks like it goes thru the water jacket on the front pass side of engine just below your two heater hoses threading into the front of the head.

Thats a high temperature water pump bolt. There are some small bolts in the water pump and larger ones. Thats one of the larger ones. At least on my 97 3.8Comment

What size is the head? 10mm, 13mm, or 15mm.
And thats not a waterpump bolt and I'm pretty sure it's
not a front cover bolt. Those are silver, except for the
little waterpump bolts.Comment
