You bought a brand new one, or new to you? If it is used how many miles, and are you planning on freshening anything up? I am assuming this is your daily driver. Chances are you'll be fine putting 9psi on a stock bottom end it has been done many times before, but you may want to research boost vs. compression ratio in relation to the octane rating of the fuel your going to be running. Lowering your compression can increase the life span of your new engine. Without altitude correction at a full 9psi of boost given that you are running 9.4:1 comp you will be running close to 15.1:1 according to a calculator I found on the net. Just something to think about. :burn:

brand new, nope is not a daily driver,
i know i can get a used one for really cheap but i just really dont want to start having problems with any used engine.

did the socket survive? Is it still in good shape?

maybe you could take it back to (sears?) and tell them you left it in your engine and need to have it replaced.

craftsman does guarantee sockets and wrenches forever.

                    lol, I know.....

The funny part would be telling them you left it in the combustion chamber.

"so what happened to make this part fail?"

"nothin out of the ordinary, like most of my tools, i left it in the combustion chamber to get smacked around by the piston a little, but it didnt survive..."

I would like to know also is the socket O.K. , what size was it like a 15mm or 10mm, I would think it would be fine but I bet the valves look like sh!t along with the piston but it didn't run too long though.
