I might do a swap but I want to get prices on a LSX motor, and transmission to get a ballpark figure of what Im looking into... Where can I find used motors / transmissions and also how many miles should I look into before considering a rebuild? I want to do a Full bolton LS1 with a cam... maybe heads too... Will an LSX motor with 100K miles beable to handle that?

Re: Whats the best place to search for LSX Engines / transmissions?
i dont know about the miles and all that but when i was doing my research for lsx swap i found them on ebay, tacreationsusa.com, and hawksthirdgen parts. tacreations has the best choices and they offer a complete pull out, pcm, harness, engine, tranny, exhaust, etc.

Re: Whats the best place to search for LSX Engines / transmissions?
any lsx motor is strong. i still reccomend at least replacing the gaskets since the motor is out. this will give you a chance to check for any internal dmg to the motor, such as scouring and piston ring dmg etc. Hopefully you wont find any water damage in your motor as I have found in some around hereCar expresses who you are. If you have a ****ty car, you must be a ****ty person;)

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/995979
