I have been told a million times but i cant seem to recall, i know some have one piece trannies, but other have removable bell housings, im not sure about imput shaft though...

^ The shafts are different and bell housings are bigger. Better off with a tranny made for the LS1 anyway. Most buys for a LS1 engine will be the engine and tranny together.
