my camaro sits up in big old storage shed up north under a car cover all winter :) but i kinda want to pull it out and drive it this winter, rwd is just soo much fun in the snow!

my camaro was my daily driver for a few years. it could handle any weather condition. but now, i've got a big enough garage and another car, so no more bad weather for it.

ice and snow is fun, until you f*** up your car. i almost did a couple of years back. i passed a semi on a 4 lane highway (2 lanes each direction, seperated by a grass median), and after i got passed it, i lost traction in the right rear. i fish tailed a few times, over correcting each time, and headed straight for a mailbox with a light pole behind it, but at the last possible moment, the car spun around and across the 2 lanes, coming to a stop next to the grassy median facing the oncoming traffic. after that, i baby it in bad weather. you only get so many close calls.

This will be my first year with FWD and traction control...not to mention functioning ABS. It will certainly be less fun than the Camaro in snow, but a lot more safe. And I'm glad to finally have the Camaro in a garage for the winter.

Back in 1990 I bought my first Camaro, a 1986 v6 with the 2.8. It was my daily driver and it was one of the best cars I ever had, even in winter. Kept that car for 9 years before parting with it.....I felt so bad that I didn't take the best care of it body wise. I did a lot of doughnuts in many parking lots with that car....fun times.

yea when i used to drive my camaro in the snow as a daily driver, i would usually take it through a touchless carwash once, maybe twice a week. Donuts are soooo fun in a rwd car, as is drifting in snow covered parking lots or fields :burn:

I hate winter!! I hate the cold!!

I don't have any winter pics of my 2002 Firebird in the snow, she doesn't know what it is. She stays cozy in the garage, while I scrape the ice and crap off of the windows every day on the winter car.
