    Re: Repainting

I had mine done in Jan. painted from white to black with door jams , hatch and what they could get to in the engine bay. Turned out excellent, they fixed my dents, fiberglassed in the CAMARO in back. Then sanded it, primered it , sealed it , used GM black paint 3-4 coats they had some problems , then I think it was like 6 coats of clear becuase they had problems with the rear& front fiberglass hood. They then cut & buffed it. Took them a month because they took off the hood , rear center part ground effects. But for $1900 its like a pro paint job. I used the turtle wax black box after about 3 months since it has carnuba wax in it which they told me always use on it, I guess the carnuba wax is the best for the paint. It turns out like a mirrior when I wax it, I was def. surprised, but this guy had worked as a painter for a fancy shop for 20 years and decided to open his own buisness, so he said a paint job like mine would have costed $4000-$5000 at any other place, which I believe him you would never know it was a white car before it was painted.

        Re: Repainting

just dont make the same mistake alot of people make-spend alot of time &/or money on a new paint job & then wash it with dishwashing detergent-unless of course, you just WANT your clearcoat to peel off-spend the couple of bucks at the parts house & pick up a brand name car wash & a wash mitt-money well spent
