  • Finish wearing off

    Hi guys,

I've got a 2000 with metallic silver paint-job, but on the passenger mirror the finish seems to have come off the top leaving it yellowed with a kinda cracked-skin look. Is there anything i can do to restore it or will i need it repainted since it has already done damage to the paint?

    Re: Finish wearing off

most likely it'll need repainted... there is a writeup on here somewhere by gr8schlotzky, I believe, that shows you how to do it yourself...
Rebuilding the engine... Building a custom front end... T-top conversion... Custom rear hatch..
    Custom interior...

yeah, i need to get some pics up but the car is bright silver metallic with the roof panel and bottom 6 inches painted a gunmetal metallic, then blue pinstripes that run the length just above the lower stripe, and along the top of the quaterpanels and doors, including on the mirrors

Heres a link to a set of pics which show the paint and the mirror in question. Personally I like the paint job, so I want to keep it, even the pin striping.
