GTR Camaro fenders

I seen carbon fibre ones on ebay not too long ago...1 was damaged...I thought if you painted them the colour of your car it could be a nice little weight savings (not sure how much stock fenders weight)...no one would know they were aftermarket because they looked identical...can't remember how heavy it said they were...but I think it was like 5-8lbs or something...

I dunno...don't think its that hard.

Considering Camaro fenders are plastic...they're like 6-8 pounds.

The all out drag cars get custom body pieces out of fibreglass/carbon fibre to reduce weight...Im sure the plastics weigh in more then that...and I don't believe our fenders are plastic....I believe they are some kinda compound...I had a buddy open his door on mine just above the wheel, and it rubbed part of the fender flat...dont know what it is, but if it was plastic, it would of kept its shape and just lost the paint...this didn't

I don't think it is too bad, could look good with the right combo, if you want light weight VFN has a whole body that weighs 130lBS. I would like the doors,hatch, and front and rear windows with Lexan glass would = to about 300lbs-400LBS around there.

It's some cheap material. That's why they cost 20 dollars each!

I dunno where u are finding our fenders for 20$ each, but let me know...mine are kinda scratched, and one has a tiny crack in it right by the hood (you cant notice it unless I point it out) but I wanna replace em

I got a new passenger fender with paint for around 175 shipped. That was a pretty decent deal for a fender that fits quite nicely. I certainly wouldn't say they weigh 6 lbs, but i wouldn't say more than 15lbs, it's really not heavy stuff.

How hard is it to swap out fenders and a bumper cover. What all is involved? I bought my car a year ago with a salvage title and it has a bra on the front. Well I pulled it off for the first time a while ago and the front end is horendous. And my driver fender has a big crack in it. I found bumper covers on ebay for $40, and fenders for $65 ea. I didn't see inner fenders, but ill look at tacreations for those.
