  • New front bumper ideas

So I was thinking about changing my front bumper , as some know the GM spoiler is fiberglassed on and smoothed out so its all one piece, but I saw the sniper front kit which looks pretty cool with more vents for air to flow through. Also it has some new urathane where you can twist it and it doesn't crack or anything. You can see the rest of my body kit is Rk Sport kit and a 3" SS hood and SS spoiler. So I think it would look good in black with the Billet SS hood insert and the kit comes with the polished mesh which would match. What do you guys think? Anyone have any pics of a black camaro with the sniper front and SS hood? Whats your guys opinions? Thanks Steve , BTW I was just thinking of doing this for something new in appearance, which I think totally changes the appearance.

I found it the front already for like $260 shipped and about $100 to paint from where the guys painted my car from white to black, they do outstanding work. But I will wait until it warms up so it will come out better. I'll check that site out, thnaks.

You're going to need to throw a picture or two up here. I have no clue what the sniper bumper looks like, and all that I can distinguish from your avatar is two headlights and the faint outline of an SS hood.

I'm trying to make sense of your post. Let me know if I haven't understood it correctly.

Recently you have been having thoughts about acquiring a new front bumper for your 1996 Camaro. You already have the RK Sport gfx, along with a 3" SS hood, and an SS spoiler which is molded flush. The benefits of the Sniper bumper (in comparison to the RK Sport one?) are that it is more aerodynamic (speed holes ftw) and durable. You are slightly worried about the grille on the bumper, which is mesh, clashing with the billet grille on your hood, however.*

Your reasoning for these thoughts is that you have been wanting to alter your car's appearance, and you believe that this will do the trick.

*- I was confused here. Were you saying that having two different grille styles will look good or bad?

Yep , misread it. I have a profile with about 20 pics of my car or click my cardomain site for pics. I have a RK Sport body kit except for the front , it is a GM RS one that was molded in to the front bumper. Sniper kit just search it , it comes up with pics on the search page. Since I will have a turbo I like the mesh grill area more air flow and the mesh will look better with my billet grill thats on my hood right now. I just haven't seen a Camaro that has a black Sniper front, most likely I will get it once it warms up. Also your right about the durabililty of it will the new material its made out of, I have seen them beat the hell out of some and they didn't break. But they didn't show them afterwards a close up of them.

                      Re: New front bumper ideas

I have the vizage kit and it's made from butyl rubber which is probably similar to that sniper kit... the body kit came in a relatively small box all folded up and once I got it out of the box it retook it's shape almost right away... I also hit a road sign several years ago with it on and broke a headlight, foglight, sidemarker, and cracked the front bumber, but all that happened to the ground effects was a little green paint from the sign... tough stuff...
Rebuilding the engine... Building a custom front end... T-top conversion... Custom rear hatch..
                      Custom interior...

Thats the same with RK and GM front and rear ground effects they fold out and you can leave thm in the sun for a little bit so they expand. This Sniper front is the whole front bumper so it costs like $75-90 to ship since it is a big box. But I think it would look good in black.

Yes its the whole bumper and you just install the diamind plating behind it where the opening are, the holes on the sides and the front.

I think the billet and polished mesh would go good together. But I agree with everyone else, the front would look pretty cool, but the rest of that kit looks like sh*t. But I think that the Bumper would be a good investment for your turbo setup.
