hood alignment

is there any secrets to getting the damn thing lined up?

ive done alot of searches and only found its a major PITA

the passenger side is about 1" in the air but it is lined up straight, and i cant get it to move forward to fill the gap between the bumper and hood

i did the 98+ front end swap, and the hood is the only thing left to get done other then needing to route plumbing for the airbox to tb

im about ready to just buy a cf hood and get 4 hood pins and rip out the damn brackets ect out:rant::rant::rant:

I am having a little trouble visualizing the problem, but I gather the pass side needs to go 1" forward? If you were to unbolt the hood support bracket, and enlarge the 2 holes that the tabs on the bracket fit into maybe you could get a little more adjustment out of it.

Is this a firebird or camaro? Take a pic so we can see.

I had to drill down a bit so that the bolt would slide down a little on mine.

i have noticed that on a lot of camaros, the ides of the hood stick up over the feders by the windshield.

and i have also noticed the gap in front on aftermarket hoods
