On some cars I completely agree, but yet on others it looks sick...

I have two berger panels. When I get around to painting the car I'm painting one body color and the other black. Then I can switch them to see which one I like. Or I might switch them every week to see if anyone notices....Both will have the Camaro filled in.

i agree, i really dislike when people do that to their car, but hey, whatever makes them happy.

yea, the 99% who thinks it's an unpainted panel doesn't really matter, it's the person who's driving the car whose opinion really matters

I think it really depends on the car. I also think that doing it flat black looks much better, I'm biased though.

definitely the way to go here. i've done the berger mod on both camaro's and kept the original panel so if i ever want to put it back (which i wont, bc i love how they turned out), i'll have them on hand.

currently my stock panels are on display in my room ;)

That is the one thing I have made sure to do with my car. I kept the stock hood, taillight panel, wheels, etc. Even the fu(kin antenna. Mods don't increase a car's value. Might as well change it back to stock if you sell the car, sell the mods separately.

The one thing I regret selling is the stock cd player. I did that to help someone out though, not a big deal.

another thing that gets on my nerves is when people call it a berger panel, its called a tail light panel with the berger mod done to it.

I like it on certain colors. To me, the stock taillight panels just look weird on a silver car; like something's missing. I did mine in a satin black with stainless fill-ins have gotten nothing but compliments on the look. I'm sure others don't like it or understand it, but it's all about what I like and think about it.

And I'm with you on keeping all the original components, Steve. I sprayed a junkyard panel (originally pewter, a shame), have kept all my stock parts that have been swapped out for mods, and still have my stock Monsoon stereo put away in my closet.
