For those who have aftermarket clear parking lamps? Have you had problems getting in humidity or water in these laps? I have tried my best being sure the sockets are well connected but without success. It looks like humidity and/or water is getting in more from the markers than from the signals. I have heard someone saying that drilling holes underside will solve it. It looks stupid to make holes to something that was bought new. Any commentary will be very well appreciated.

Re: stupid parking lamps
i have the same problem with my clear turn signals too. its so annoying cause i love the way they look. its seems like one is getting better but its probably just the weather. i was thinking about maybe sealing them up with something, dum dum or like liquid weather stripping. i feel your pain lol.

Re: stupid parking lamps
I seem to be one of few that have never had problems with this. I say run a thin bead of silicon around the edge of where the lens meets the body and get some foam washers for the bulbs. I didn't do any modification and they work fine.
Anyway, you won't hardly see the holes if you drill them in the bottom, and they'll allow water to drain instead of fogging up.

Did you or anyone tried the holes, and after that the innerside of the lamps stayed always dried (no fog, no water at all)?

We have a multiquote button ;) just click the ["+] for all but one of the posts you want to quote, then hit quote on the last, and it will quote all.
In response to your question, I have not had any problems with fog or water, and have never had to do any modifications to my lights. However, it's obviously a sealing problem of some sort, and running a bead of silicon around the lens and using foam washers would eliminate the possibility of water seeping in. I will note that I have foam washers, although I believe it's a factory thing and everyone should have them.
I have heard of several people that had great results from drilling 2 or 3 tiny holes in the very bottom of their corner lights.
And VHT NS is VHT (brand) Niteshades. It's a spray can of tinting paint, used to tint automotive lights to appear black but still light up normally.

Re: stupid parking lamps
They go at the base of the bulb and seal the socket to the light housing so no water gets in. If I had to guess, that's the most likely spot that water would get in, and the foam washers eliminate that from happening. In fact, it's really only necessary on the 3057 bulb.
