what size socket to remove a RS wing?

i found a 93-97 rs at a junkyard and the trunk was locked, so i gotta go back today and break it open somehow, then remove the rs wing. but i was seeing if anyone knew what tools to take with me?

i'll take a flathead screwdriver and hammer to try to open the trunk from the inside. then i'm guess i'll need a deep well socket to remove the bolts from the wing.

it also has the RS side skirts..but theres a tear in one near the back wheel. but i was thinking of investing in a plastic welder and fxing it. cuz i have alot of torn plastic things that i could use a welder on.

Not sure specifically, but it seems that if you have an 8, 10, 13, and 15mm, you can take just about anything apart in these cars. I know the center is held on with double stick tape.

i think its a 10 but not sure.

But you should find another RS spoiler. ive been looking for one for ever

the majority of them is a 10mm. Take a putty knife so you can remove the double sided tape and damage the wing

What this guy said. It's 10mm. Be really careful when you take off the center portion...Mine was a ***** to pry off..

it'll be 20 for the wing. i might just take the whole middle piece with it.

I would take the whole wing with it since it might be bolted in 3 spots on the main part of the rear spoiler. I know my RK and the aftermarket 3 piece are bolted down to the rear spoiler and had 2 bolts for the sides, it sucked becuase I had to fill in the holes on the sides and have it painted when I went to a SS spoiler. I will never drill or have someone drill a hole in my car again for a spoiler.

it also has the rs side skirts. but looks like someone tried ripping them off.. so they're torn/ripped near the screws that screw into the fender. wondering if i should buy them and invest in a "plastic welder".. cuz i have a few plastic fenders that i could use it on. heard they're expensive though

i got the wing. keys were missing so i had to unbolt 3 bolts inside the trunk to open it.
the side pieces to the wing were hard to get off. had some strong *** double-sided tape. was afraid of breaking it. left the center part of the wing on the other stock part..the flat part. paid 20. already have a Freedrom Design wing on my 93z28 but might experiement and swap this one on one day.

then i got a set of t-tops for 20 each. i'm doing a ttop conversion on my z28. 3rd conversion i've done. ttops have a dot matrix all through it. never seen a set like that. pretty cool. my other set is just clear glass with a light tint. but i already have the weather stripping and apillars and all. i think.

if anyone ever needs t-top stuff just PM me or email me...i can get them all the time.
