  • will gauge needles off another vehicle work properly on my camaro?

i've changed out my dash lights with uv black leds and i want to change the color of the needles. however they are made of orange plastic. is there another vehicle i can take needles off of that will work properly as far as the weight and length? they hafta be clear with orange or white or whatever color painted on the back side.

google 6litereater. he sells different colored needles for our cars.

I think if you paint your needles, they won't light up at night anymore.

on different models of cars the needle is clear except for the back of it which is usually painted amber/orange. in that situation u can paint the backside. a different color and the color changes. not every paint will work it has to be somewhat reflective. my plan was to have my needles glow in the dark with paint. but surprisingly the black light doesn't effect them.
i took a picture of the led's but they showed up blue. very misleading. it looks like a black light. kinda purplish... if i was to redo it, i would probably go blue. or maybe try amber/yellow (cuz my cars yellow) i'll check out 6litereater

i have uv alrerady just so u know they are very dim at night and i think you can steal the needle from a s10 and sand off the orange on the back of thiers cause they are clear with orange paint on the back

i already have them 2. they work well enough for me. just don't know how well i like the color, anymore. do u know if the s10 needles are the same size/weight? curious about the calibration getting off. i know cavaliers have the same style as the s10's i just don't know if the calibration will be off because of size/weight.
