hey i have a 2000 bird non leather and a 1998 bird, leather, power everything. the 98 is the parts car and i have been thinking about swapping to the leather. im guessing everything should bolt up, right? also will my 00 have the wiring harness under the seat for the power options? im guessing not but i just decided to ask you guys.

    thanks!!!

Yea I'm pretty sure it wil be a direct fit because your year is close to it. Just check under the seat to see.

it should just be a bolt in, and you should have the wiring already there, my car has manual seats, and it has the wires for it

so this SHOULD be a fairly easy transition? 4 bolts per seat right?

4 bolts per seat for the front. the back is a little trickier but everything should bolt up fine.

yup, it wouldnt be that hard

IIRC on the seats, you lift the back of them up and there is a bolt down there you take out to remove the cushion.. i dont know how to remove the back piece though, but i dont imagine it being that hard

Yes, easy swap, and your car will be wired for power. Besides the two Phillips heads for the seat belt guide, the front seats run four 13mm bolts and the driver side has just one connector (two wires) for the power. You'll probably have to take up the kick panel and go under the carpet then cut a slit in the carpet and run it through.

Rear seats are held on by one 13mm each in the center directly under the front of the seat. To remove the back part, you'll need to remove the sail panels, and remove the bolts that hold the hinges on at the bottom. The seat belt guides come off with 4 total smaller torq bits.

These cars have the same interior color?

my 2000 is a little darker. if its not ebony its a couple shades lighter. they are not a perfect match but close to it. why you think it will look stupid. lol now you got me questioning myself.

I have graphite leather interior and ebony trunk panels. I have graphite trunk panels as well, but th sub doesn't fit with the bose panels. It's not all that noticeable, but If you change your door panels, you'll probably want to change the kick panels, sail panels, and trunk panels as well.

eveything should bolt right up! when i put my red leather seats in, it just mounted right in like the old cloths. Then you just had to plug the power cord thingy from the seat into the little cord that comes out of the floor and then Whalaa you have power seats
