    Re: T-top conversion any tips?

On a side note... does anyone know if a Firebird hatch will bolt up to a Camaro?

I know that all of the lines won't line up, especially in the rear, but that doesn't matter for my purposes... I'm mostly concerned with whether the hinges will bolt up and if it will latch...

I don't see why it wouldn't bolt up.

The quarter panels won't line up, and the 'camaro' panel and tail lights won't line up, but it should bolt up and with the exception of the tail lights possibly hindering the latch, it should latch up.

Got started yesterday, got all of the big cuts made... got pretty far into shaping one of the corners...

I did it a little differently than some of the write-ups I've seen, after looking at the donor car and some of the write-ups, it just seemed like some of the one I've seen left some unnecessary metal on the car...

I'll post some pics once I get a little further along... I may end up doing some welding after all, just to make it look better, more than anything else, but I'll try everything to avoid it first...

I also noticed that I need to stop staring at my car... I came up with about 5 more projects that I want to do now...

yea no kidding... I know that I'll never really be done with this car, there will always be something else that pops into my head... the thing I need to work on is doing one at a time... lol... I currently have in progress: T-tops, engine rebuild, entire interior, front end... and before I finish all of these I'll probably start the rear hatch, custom taillight panel, painting the rims, rear disc conversion, rear seat delete... and before I finish those I'll probably think up a few more...

This is why I'll probably never buy a car brand new, bc I wouldn't be able to resist making what I think of as improvements...

I might upload them tonight, it's a pain in the *** to upload pics on this computer... I didn't get much done today, though... had some some stuff come up with my DD.

This is the right rear corner from the donor car...

and this is the right rear corner or my car, still in raw form...

                                Check this out:

This is why I didn't get much done yesterday, and probably won't get much done today either... this is the right rear tire from my DD, `01 Impala...

I took it in to a shop yesterday bc it was wobblin like crazy... and they didn't do what I asked, which was put it on a lift and look at it... instead they insisted I let one of their mechanics drive it... so he drove it and came back in and said it felt like the wheel bearing was bad... long story short, I left with the car and couldn't do much bc it was wet all day yesterday and my garage is currently a little full...

So today I jacked it up and saw this right away... and also noticed that the studs were all jacked... so now I have to deal with that... ****!!!
