  • projector retrofit into 2000 camaro... started.

so I just got back from my 1 year Iraq deployment and the first thing I wanted to tackle was the projector retrofit into my camaro ss. I ordered it from the retrofitsource.com andgot TSX projectors with gen III Matsu****a ballasts and 6000K D2S Bulbs. I made it to the point of a 'rough fit' tonight, worked for about 3 1/2 hours. the shroud I used was called the 'ocular' shroud. When I finished the rough fit, the shroud makes the car appear to have a halo, but without actually having one. reminds me of the new camaro with RS package.. It is very cool looking in person, but was so hard to capture with a camera, but I got decent shots. Keep in mind, the bulbs in the picture are not the D2S Bulbs, they are the 9006 hid bulbs I had still on the car, just sitting in there. The passenger side, as you can see, is just throwing the light everywhere, while the projector is just aiming it neatly. Here's a few snapshots. What do you guys think? Bear in mind that I am going to paint more black on them, and polish the lenses when I am done. Also notice my new SLP grill, had to replace that billet grill.

      Looks great, dude!

It's really nice to see someone doing HIDs RIGHT for a change. There really is nothing like a nice set of Projectors.

Hella 90mm projectors are really the only option for pre 98. I used them in place of the fog lights to retain a stock look. You can also replace your headlights with them, but they'll obviously be round instead of rectangle. It's style preference.

Looks great, dude. Now polish those headlights up and call it good. Those TL projectors are very nice, those should be incredible at night.

They;re TSX projectors, not TL. But I got what you were saying... They are AMAZING. Best headlight upgrade hands down.
