    wow, i never even thought about it making the bumper flex bad enough to stress the paint, kristen i'm glad you said that before i went & did something i would regret to mine, espicially since i just had the whole nose repainted-thanks for the heads up-i like the ideal of doing something to direct more airflow from underneath, stealthy is always cool

      There's still a medium option when it comes to getting maximum airflow yet retaining the front bumper's structural integrity. I can't find any pictures from my phone, but if you cut out the center section of the bumper support and leave a "post" on each side, then you can still use a grill cover of some form and the bumper won't sag. Dave's (dmw319) blue car had the bumper support cut like that and allowed for plenty of air to reach the intercooler while not getting that ugly saggy gap between the hood and bumper.

        im pretty sure capernicus has his deleted for a front mount intercooler, hopefully he'll see this and chime in about how it turned out.
