            Re: new stuff installed

to be honest....racing seats in a street car with stander seat belts are f$cking pointless. major waste of money. only reason a person should kill their back in those seats is because they serious hp and torque.

and whats up the the pipes for the turbo? they don't look like they are the same size. won't you f with the pressure and lose power

Looks good. But might I suggest you cut out part of your bumper support to enable air flow to that intercooler. As it sits now, it's not getting the air flow it should.

x2 cut out the area behind your plate and feed that intercooler.

sweet installs though, looks great. been on the dyno yet?

The seats came out pretty clean. Do you sit any higher in the cockpit than compared to the old seats (less head room)?

Have you noticed any increase in engine temp without the stock plastic air deflector that went on top of the radiator?

thanks everyone, yea i no, ive been thinking about cuttin the bumper for the intercooler i actually drilled a bunch of holes in it now so its not completely blocked for now.

Which pipes do you mean, the exhaust? its all the same size. the cat is the only place it gets slightly bigger, it was like that stock.
and the seats, my old ones were so shot, so i think these are more comfortable then my old ones and they werent too expensive. they were like $300 its about the same for a pair of leather stock ones and these are brand new not used. i do see ur point though.

no i haven't been to a dyno yet, i got to find one around here and get down there lol.

the seats are a little bit higher, not by much at all. i used the stock tracks and just modified them to fit and kept them as low as possible. I'm 6' and have no problem with them, if that helps at all. and the engine temperature is pretty much the same. i noticed it warms up a little bit faster but i thats mainly because i started this right when it got warm here. so im used to it being a 20 degree warm up and now its like a 65 degree warm up lol

NICE! diggin it! ...& as far as someone said earlier about those being uncomfortable back killers, they look like nice seats for a street car to me, true "racing" seats are not much more than a lightweight fiberglass/carbon/or aluminum shell, & as far as not needing them without some serious hp/tq...did ya happen to notice the turbo?!? lol! i wouldnt mind having something like those in mine, even though i dont have serious hp...i do have some serious cornering ability, which to me would be the real reason for wanting more lateral support, afterall, my 1971 450hp muscle car has a bench seat...but heck, it only goes in a straight line-lol!

thanks truekoa, and yea heavychevy383 their not really uncomfortable their are a little stiff but i like em like that, they have the same kind of support as my dads vette seats and there defiantly not like the aluminum shell ones lol

not busting on you right now mts...just gonna make a point.... its a turbo on a v6. so no your not gonna see serious hp/tq unless your gonna dump everything u have into it and that means alot more than a turbo. he!l my set up is 336 rwhp 412 rwt....not serious hp or tq at all its childs play and no need to be straped in by a 5 point and racing seats.

now mts, it was done tasteful and if your seats were shot i can see you wanting to go cheaper reather than a stock set. i would never waste my money on something that would kill my a@s and back after 3 mins

as for cutting out the entire grill... look it up first. i hd a buddy do it....the entire bumper than would flex and killed the paint. plus it was butt a$s ugly lol . what you have now is tasteful and leaves people thinking, when they see your front end. you should bend some metal to make a custom air damn under the front end to direct more air up
