  • buffed out calipers

I buffed my calipers today with a wire wheel. brake cleaner was of no help cleaning these things. I ended up using simple green to help clean the calipers while I buff them, seemed to work pretty good.

I just gave them a once over while I was changing pads out. I was originally going to paint them black but they looked so good after I did it I decided to keep them this way. was wondering if anyone else who has done this used anything special to help buff them out?

    thanks

I am having the hardest time find rims I like. I guess I am just to old school. I cant stand most of the designs they have out these days. yours look sharp though.

I like stock wheels better. I had C5 wheels, but the oem looks more original. Just clean them up and repaint them and it'll look good.

I plan on painting my brakes this summer. I already started making the Firebird brake emblem as I type.

Vinyl stickers that I bought from a kiosk at the mall.

The decals you see on my cars I made them myself, except for the Performance V6 one.

The calipiers def. look cleaner, when i get my 98+ calipiers , I will do the same to mine, aswell as paint the spindles too. Nice touch ups Edgar, cars lookin great, its the small stuff that really pops out. Lookin at the Powerdyne brings back painful memories, I should of left mine stock and ran nitrous or went with the turbo in the first place.

But hey, you know you learn something from it. It made you better in understanding your turbo setup.

The PD is a part of my Bird. I don't think I will ever part with it. Well for one thing, I can take it off easily when it's time for smog so I can pass visual.

Besides, I've had very good experience with it. As soon as I'm financially OK I will opt for the super rebuilt. I'm still looking and thinking...for an air to water intercooler.
