I remember seeing a how-to for this somewhere... Can't remember if it was on this site or somewhere else on the web. IIRC it will, but with some modifications

In what? Firebird or Camaro?

Perfect fit in Firebird - I did this upgrade.

Will be a gap under the dash in a Camaro.

Based on past posts, he has a 94 Camaro, so you'll have a gap where the CD/Tape cubby is now. The modifications steve is talking about probably make the gap less apparent but I don't believe there is any modification required to mount the center console.
