Most people use VHT nightshade spray, and then sand / polish it up to get a smooth shiny finish.

        Clean, scuff, and VHT them.

Go as light or as dark as you want.

Wetsand with 1000 up to 2000 and clear coat.

Wetsand the clear with 1000 to 2000 and polish to a nice shine.

There probably less hassel, especially if you live in an area that would fail you for inspection, or you would get ticketed.

                It's not that bad.

I had covers, but after losing one I gave up on them.

OP - ur making niteshades out to be a big deal, it's really not. it's pretty user friendly, you can make it as dark or as light as you need, and it's correctable. all it takes is some patience and a steady hand.

i never tinted anything until i tried niteshades and it worked out very well --- i've done about everything there is to do on the 'maro with it, worked on my friends' cars for them, and just did some work on my Jeep --- it's not the hassle you think man.

experiment with something small first, try out your third brake light and get a feel for it. i never touched a can of it until about 6 months ago and my buddies call me the "niteshades wizard" for all the custom work and experimenting i've been doing with it. go for it!
