Has anyone else had a problem with these scratches on the window from rolling the window up an down. The pads on the outside are $h*t.

Is there anyway to make them a little less appearant? Or am i just F***ed and need to replace the window?

I've heard buffing the window with toothpaste can reduce the appearance of the scratches, but if your nail catches the scratch, it probably can't be removed. A glass making place might be able to buff it out if you can't. Otherwise you'll have to replace it.

I have the same problem with my Drivers window, when they removed the tint they scratched the window. They told me to go down to their main shop and they would buff out the scratches.

Dude this sucks i called a few glass places around here and they said the window will shatter if they try to buff out the scratches. do you guys know if the windows can be wet sanded? I try the toothpaste thing maybe tomorrow.

Windows CAN be buffed, but it's recommended with an orbital buffer/polisher. As said above though, if you can run your fingernail over the scratch(es) and it grabs, chances are you'll probably have to replace it.

I seriously wouldn't wetsand any car window! I know micro polishes are pretty much the same concept, but I've never heard of anyone attempting this. You'll probably end up doing much more damage than expected.

I was looking at this kit a few weeks ago: http://www.properautocare.com/polishglass.html
Although, the note at the bottom says this: Note: This system can not remove deep pits and scratches in glass. Do not use on Lexan, Plexiglas or clear plastics.
