  • Color sanding questions.

So I was reading up and thinking about color sanding my car to get some of the deep scraches out and bringing some color back, Its not that bad but I just want it looking better. Thoughts? Any one have any tips or write ups? I did read Schlotzkys write up.

They have some polish for deep swirl marks remover with a buffer you could try that.

I use Meguiars Mirror Glaze #1, #2, and #9. That's Medium Cut Remover, Fine Cut Remover, and Swirl Remover. Between the three and a random orbital buffer, you should be able to get out any scratches you want so long as your fingernail doesn't catch. If it does, you can still drastically reduce the appearance. I'd recommend them in that order followed by a high quality wax. Honestly though, start with Fine Cut remover, it will remove most deep swirl marks and bring a nice shine back. Follow it with Swirl Remover and wax. Only if this doesn't do it would I go to Medium Cut remover; it's quite abrasive.

i used meg's 105 with a yellow pad and then meg's 205 with a white pad then waxed my allante. it's black and before i compounded/polished, the paint looked like total sh!t. the difference is AMAZING. i love my DA. i might get some pictures of it later, i need to sell it...
