The automatic car wash destroyed my antenna. I searched the forums but haven't found any pictures that I liked. I found a shorty 14" mast antenna on ebay for twenty bucks. I'm curious on who has done an antenna mod and please post pics.
Yes I had to cut a hole in the roof to mount it. I ran the wires to the stock antenna wire and powered it off my stereos remote wire. It also does satellite radio/GPS so that's nice. But no, it's not a super easy install.
Cutting the stocker does affect reception, I found the radio to get decent reception for the most part, but definitely less than stock. I hardly listen to the radio, so I didn't really care.
I just ordered a 14" shorty antenna from eBay. It looks exactly like the factory antenna, only 17" shorter. I will post some pics after it arrives and I install it.
Not to rehash an old thread/subject, but I am not happy with the 14 inch shorty metal antenna that I purchased. I'd like to go with the rubber eurostyle antenna. Where can I find the "bitviper" antenna?
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
