I have a Pewter 2000 FireBird Convertible and I was looking into getting the Ram Air hood or clip-on for it. The questions I had are. . .Would it actually be functional with the 3.8 or just for the 5.7? Are the aftermarket hoods worth it or would it be better to find one off of a WS6/Trans Am? Has anyone here done this or know of someone that has? Thank you.

Re: Ram Air Hood on V6 FireBird?
depends on the hood, some have fitment issues and others dont depening on who makes it most fit pretty well though. plenty have done it. as for the ram air thing, i cant remember i think you need to modify the stock air box though. its not a huge deal IMO, the gains arent going to big enough to really notice it one way or the other anyhow.
current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it
