I've got 35% on both my cars. Sure, I'd like it darker, but it's dark enough that I don't consistently wish I had darker tint. I'm still happy with it. If 35% will pass inspection, imo it'd be worth it to have something a little lighter that you don't have to re-tint every time inspection comes around.

Yeah I was thinking i should try 40-50 or something.. just below legal limit or something...

I feel so naked without tint....and the sun.. and sigh... tint is a must

                  True that^

I just never thought it was worth the hassle of being illegal and running the risk of being forced to strip it. You definitely save money by tinting yourself though. Though I still haven't mastered rear windows.

It seems there would be a lot less crime if the cops spent their time going after real criminals instead of harassing motorists with a little too much tint or going a few mph over the limit. But hey, it's easy work and tickets generate revenue. It's all about the money.

We wouldn't want to tangle with those criminals that might shoot back, would we?

Traffic interdiction is a key component of law enforcement. As much as you may not like it, many crimes are solved by stopping some ******* with a burned out tail light. Keep it legal, and you shouldn't have a problem.

Its pretty funny when there is a van packed full of narcotics and immigrants and they get pulled over speeding or improper lane change

I can't complain, last time I checked; in Texas, to pass inspection the front windows cant be any darker than 25%-30%. But a cop can give you a ticket if it's 35%. As an inspector in Dallas I never really care enough to fail one just for that though, just seeing the limits y'all are talking about makes me feel sad. At least it's not 100 up north.
