Put at least one lugnut halfway on so the wheel and tire dont go flying, and pop the inside sidewall/shoulder area of the tire with a sledge hammer. It usually only takes one hit.
I'm pretty sure the story was the studs were too short and the lugs only caught a thread or two. The guy figured it was fine and as soon as the lateral g's kicked in, they stripped off the studs and screwed him over.
throw another tire and rims at it from the out side the tire wont damage the rim and its heavy enough to do sumthing i used to have to do it on my dodge...no matter how hard i beat on those things they wouldent come off the then the idea hit me and worked great lol
on the new car I bought...long story short when I was picking it up someone else was offering $1500 more then I was paying for it, so in an effort to get the eff out of there asap, I took the 98+ 5 star rims, and put them on the back (was doing a rim swap) and when I realized I needed to dremel them down, (I didnt have time) I just put them on, and torqued the bolts down. So basically the rear wheels are press fit onto the car right now...lugs are off, but I cant get the damn rim off the car...even tried kicking it from the back, like, really reefin on it...doesn't wanna budge. Any ideas? Can I maybe take the rear discs off with the tires attached to it and maybe try and get them apart after? or is the hub not part of the rear disc?
If the rims are still stuck after all this time, then loosen the lug nuts on one wheel a few turns and go for a drive. Make turns in the direction of the wheel with loose lugs, the force will work the rim loose. Don't go nuts, just some low speed driving, about 20-30 mph max. Tapping the brakes hard often helps.
No hammer, no beating, no bottle jack, no cracked or bent rims.

rims are off with several good boots from the back...this seems extremely dangerous...like I will end up like the rx7 in the video posted earlier in here....
I had a problem putting ZR1's and Z06's on my old '96 Z28. The wheels fit just fine on the front but would not slip on over the rear hubs. I used a moto-tool and ground them down. Problem solved.
put a towel on the rim and get you and sledge and either hit the rims edge (on the inside) and as close to it as you can on the tire. should come off. i had to do the same to my car. (rim wasnt damaged alot) (just a few little knicks)

Actually that is a pretty common method of loosening a wheel. All it takes is to have the nut one rotation loose for it to work. It has the advantage that you will not damage a rim from pounding. And don't worry, the wheel will not fall off from once around the parking lot.
