Re: WS6 Hood Installed (Not Bad) :)
IF its made to bolt on , like mine all the spots where it mounts is metal in the fiberglass , mounting it at 4 points and the the hood latch its on there pretty well, I've watch mine when I was at 120mph and it wasn't flexing, just wanted to check it out. I drive about 75-80 usually for about 3 years now and the hood is still holding up great , unless a cat jumps on it scratching the whole front of the hood. If it was a pin on hood only , I think they have 2 pins on each side.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Re: WS6 Hood Installed (Not Bad) :)
Even if there's metal in there, and even if you're not racing it... I would still recommend hood pins bc if you hit something that jars the hood, all those attachment points could break loose from the fiberglass and send it flying...
I didn't have pins on my fiberglass hood and when I had to swerve to miss a car and hit a road sign it completely broke loose the bolts on the right side hinge. In my hood it had a strip of metal imbedded in the fiberglass and nuts were basically glued in with the fiberglass. If the left side had broken loose too, I probably would have been buying a new windshield, or worse...Rebuilding the engine... Building a custom front end... T-top conversion... Custom rear hatch..
Custom interior...

maybe its cause those damn blue stripes are gone but i must say that looks a lot better.
and now for some questions:
-why hood pins? whats that hood made of?
-when are you gonna get the front gfx? i would have spend my money on that before the hood.
-you spent time making those lights for the stock hood scoops are you gonna put them in the ws6 hood?
-ram air?
And the front gfx are coming as soon as i find them at a junk yard for $10 instead of $200 and yes the blue light are in the scoops and they look sick. and it is ram air.

There is a lot to be said for someone who is trying to be slightly unique. However, it needs to be done well. As you all know, I have the WS6 hood on my Camaro. I am not 100% on it, but I think that the gfx and 3 piece spoiler add some "texture" that makes it work. I was originally going to do "ghost" blackbird stripes, but never got up to it.
Unique has the ability to make his car look good. He just needs to take his time and think things through. Whimsical mods rarely work out.2002 SOM Camaro- Sold
